Methodology
How the data is made
What Bloomsburg tracks, where it comes from, and where it can be wrong.
Where the data comes from
Every deal comes from a filing on SEC EDGAR, the US government's public database of company filings. Each deal links to the filing it was read from. Bloomsburg uses no paid deal databases or news feeds.
How AI is used
An AI model reads new filings and pulls out the parties, value, advisors, and a short description. Anything the model is unsure about goes to a person for review before it is published. Text written by AI is always labeled AI-generated.
Which deals are included
A deal is tracked when an advisor on either side is on our list of banks. Deals without a listed advisor are not added. Bloomsburg tracks the deals it finds. It does not claim to cover all M&A.
Deal values
Values are in US dollars. When a filing does not disclose a value, we show Undisclosed and never estimate one. Deals priced in another currency are marked as converted or as stated in the filing.
How often it updates
New filings are collected every day. Pending deals are rechecked so their status moves to completed or terminated as later filings come in.
Report an error
Spotted something wrong? A way to report it from each deal page is coming. Until then, tell the founder directly.
